  • Purpose: DDoS drills are designed to test an organization's ability to respond to distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks and ensure that systems are able to respond effectively to such attacks.

  • Long explanation: In a DDoS drill, security experts will simulate a large-scale traffic attack, such as using botnets or other means to attack an organization's network resources, overloading or making them unavailable. Organizations will try to respond to attacks by using firewalls, intrusion detection systems, traffic filters, and more, ensuring the availability and stability of the system.
